There are two types of XML elements in KoolChart that configure axis in charts:
<horizontalAxis> ( or <verticalAxis> )
Sets the axis type, such as LinearAxis, CategoryAxis, CategoryLinearAxis, DateTimeAxis, BrokenAxis, ColorAxis, HistogramCategoryAxis, LogAxis or NumericAxis. The main role of this element is to determine how the axis scale is configured.
<horizontalAxisRenderers> ( or <verticalAxisRenderers> )
Sets the axis renderer, such as Axis2DRenderer, Axis3DRenderer, Axis2DWingRenderer, AngularAxisRenderer, BrokenAxis2DRenderer, BrokenAxis3DRenderer, HistogramAxis2DRenderer or ScrollableAxisRenderer. The main role of this element is to represent axes such as axis thickness, labels, and ticks.
In this example, an <Axis3DRenderer> element is set within a <horizontalAxisRenderers> element in order to display the horizontal axis that is a <CategoryAxis> type, and another <Axis3DRenderer> element is set within a <verticalAxisRenderers> element in order to display the vertical axis that is a <LinearAxis> type.
<horizontalAxis>
<CategoryAxis id="hAxis" categoryField="Month" ticksBetweenLabels="false" title="MONTH" displayName="Month" />
</horizontalAxis>
<verticalAxis>
<LinearAxis id="vAxis" formatter="{numfmt}" interval="500" baseAtZero="true" maximum="3500" title="Dollars" />
</verticalAxis>
...
<horizontalAxisRenderers>
<Axis3DRenderer axis="{hAxis}" ... >
...
</Axis3DRenderer>
</horizontalAxisRenderers>
<verticalAxisRenderers>
<Axis3DRenderer axis="{vAxis}" ... >
...
</Axis3DRenderer>
</verticalAxisRenderers>
